Packing and Sorting

This webpage is dedicated to all the faithful band of men and women who come and help with the container packing in England. Thank you! If your photo is not on this page and you have helped we are immensely grateful to you…unfortunately we do not always have a cameraman handy on the workdays!
Most of our donors, to whom we are so grateful, give us sacks full of clothes, boxes full of toys, stationery, craft materials, shoes, and boxes full of tinned foods and dried foods. We also receive children’s toys, wool and sewing equipment and over-the-counter medical equipment (for example, bandages).

An Armenian charity called United Armenian Fund very kindly finances all the sending of our containers to Armenia. We are very grateful to them for enabling us to send this help to Armenia!

Outside Cyprus Lodge
Most of the sorting of the donated clothes happens at Cyprus Lodge although some of our donors take special pains to sort the clothes they give us into various categories. We only send clean clothes to Armenia that do not have any buttons missing or holes or tears, and we only send new underwear. All the items given to us to be sent to Armenia must be categorised. The people doing the sorting (all completely voluntary helpers) separate the goods checking their cleanliness and folding and packing the goods appropriately. The goods are packed into apple boxes which are donated to us by Empire Apples in Spalding, Lincolnshire, to whom we extend our thanks
