Nagorno-Karabakh Refugee Crisis
After months of blockade, and the air and land attack of 19th September 2023, the population of N-K quickly surrendered, lost their land and over 100,000 refugees fled from N-K to Armenia for safety in a matter of days. Most of them left with only a small bag of their possessions and the clothes they were wearing. Months later, many of the people are still without work, without their own home, and struggling with hunger and and the lack of basic necessities. You can help us try to meet some of these needs.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have been able to purchase large amounts of food in Armenia to help alleviate the crisis of severe hunger over the winter. We continue to provide much needed food parcels to these desperate families.
We have also been able to help with other essential items, such as those listed below, which have sent by container to Armenia from England. However, the demand is vast and the need is ongoing, so if you have any of the following items which you could donate for our next container shipment, this would be of great help.
Note that due to recent requirements put in place by the Armenian authorities, ALL items must be NEW.
- Folding beds
- Folding or stackable chairs & folding tables
- Wheel chairs
- Duvets, blankets & pillows
- Sheets, pillow cases & towels
- Clothes & shoes for children & adults
- Nappies, incontinence pads & feminine hygiene products
- School bags and contents (contact us for more info)
All items should be delivered to one of our two sorting depots – please see the contacts page. If you need to make alternative delivery arrangements, please get in touch with us via email or phone.
Thank you for your invaluable help.
