Praise God! – the container that set out from the UK in the autumn full of folding beds, bedding, duvets, clothes, pillows and so on has arrived! God answered prayer and it never even had to be unloaded at the customs warehouse – it came straight to our headquarters, paperwork completed. The demands for beds and bedding is so high with an ever lengthening list of desperate families on my desk that we didn’t even bother stacking bedding items in the warehouse – they are in a room next to the office, ready for immediate distribution, just in time for the winter!!
In the last few weeks since we’ve been in Armenia we have been able to help a huge number of families with clothes, shoes and so on – both individually as well as via other local charities and churches. This has meant that the warehouse was already quite depleted. Incontinence pads (for injured soldiers as well elderly people who are very traumatised as refugees), wheelchairs, walking aids and nappies had basically finished and many families have been waiting urgently for this help.
